Story telling is something that we hear very often. Story telling is an activity or activity in the form of art by retelling a story in the form of a legend or fable in an interesting way. In the competition activities held in schools, story telling is usually one of the activities that are contested. So for those of you who are still in school and confused about what story references for your story telling, here are some examples of story telling from Bhaktyarsa Maumere Catholic Elementary School students who were contested at the #SpeqsanterEnglishClub event
My Childhood
Foolish Experience
Chrystine
Livin Barlin
When I was six years old, I have a toy motorcycle that I can ride. It was my most favorite toy because I play with it a lot. It was yellow and red colors. My most favorite part is the trunk under the seat. I can put many things there, like small dolls, candies, crayons, and many more. One day when I was playing in the living room, I saw something in the sofa. I thought it was a toy so I took it and put it in my motorcycle trunk. Then I was bored in the living room, so I ask my brother’s help to move it in the backyard. Then I thought of the most brilliant and excellent idea to do the next. Do you want to know what it was? Let me tell you. Its…..to wash my motorcycle, but actually it was just an excuse. I just wanted to play with water of course and so I washed my motorcycle without took out the things inside the trunk. And then, before I left, I filled water into the trunk. The next day, my mom was busy looking for something. After a while, my mom asked me. Did you see my phone? I was confused. So my mom showed me another phone. So I grabbed my mom’s hand went to the backyard. Then I opened my toy motorcycle trunk, took out the phone and proudly giving it to my mom. Rather than happy, she was shocked. You know what? The phone was broken because of water. My mom tried to soaked it in the rice. But it was no worked, it still broken. Thankfully my mom didn’t mad at me rather she taught me right things. Looking back I felt sorry for what I have done. But at the same time, it was a story that was told repeatedly and it still funny.
That is the end of my childhood story.
Holiday
in China

Marielka Wijaya
One day when I was three years old, I’ve
been to several countries and now I would like to share my experience when I
was in China. I went to the zoo, to the “Great Wall” and also visited my mother
extended family. Right at the zoo, I met very cute pandas until I wanted to
enter into panda’s cage. I gave food to the panda, then I also went to see
lions. I used to think that the lions would jump to me and bite me. Luckily my
mom and dad calmed me down. I’ve also met tigers, I thought the same way with
lions. But luckily my mom and dad calmed me down again. Then I went to see a
parrot, too. The parrot was very smart. He fallowed was I said. I was so
surprised. I don’t think that parrot could follow what I said, then the person
who works or we called it bird keeper, explain about parrot. I was very
interested in learning more about parrots, but unfortunately I could not stay
long at the parrot’s place. I was a bit sad because I couldn’t hear the bird
keeper explain anymore. But my mom said we will see bear cabs, I saw they were
very cute. Then we finished visiting the zoo. Then we went to a restaurant. The
foods there were so good and the drinks were also so fresh. Those were my
favorite foods and drinks. After eating we went to visit my mother’s extended
family. We share stories together and in the evening we took dinner together at
the house of my mother’s extended family. After having dinner, we said goodbye
and returned to the hotel. The next day we planned to go to the ‘Great Wall”
with my mom’s family. When I arrived at the great wall, I was surprised because
the great wall is very big and that was the first time I went to great walls. We
took photos together there. From the great wall, we went to the mall. I was so
happy because we could shop for clothes and other things. From the mall, we
went to the playground. I was very patient to play there. I played there with
other children while my parents talking to my mom’s family and watching us
playing from the seat. After that we went to eat. I was crying there because I
still wanted to play there. But because of my condition and also at the same
time I was so hungry so I stop crying on the way to the restaurant. We went to
the restaurant before. I was very happy. The foods are so delicious. It was
already evening. We went back to my mother family ‘s house then returned to the
hotel. The next day we have to go back to Indonesia Bekasi. I was so sad because
we have to leave China. We went to my mother’s family to say goodbye to each
other and went straight to the airport. Arrived at the airport, we waited about
30 minutes. Finally, our plane landed. We entered into the plane and returned
to Bekasi. I was so happy because I can visit China with my family. I was very
tired after the flight. Immediately I rested with my mom and dad.
That is my story. Thank you.

is a story about learning how to ride a bike. Even though now I am already
seven years old but I still cannot ride a bike. My parent bought me a bicycle
since I was four years old but because I afraid to ride it the bike become
rusty and broken. One afternoon, I saw a child of my age even smaller than me
maybe was riding a bicycle. The way he rode his bike was very agile. Without
the slightest fear, even he alone without the company of his parent. When I saw
that, I thought even a child who was younger than me could ride a bicycle, why
couldn’t I? So, I asked my parent to buy me another bike.
A few months ago, they bought me a new bike
and I force myself to ride it. My parent taught me patiently. At first, I’d
been told how to balance by glide on higher ground. After I can balanced my
body and bike, I practice to ride a bike. Finally, after a few times practicing

exercise. Thanks to my parent who always be with me. Now, I am going to show
you how to ride my bike.

to Flight Attendants
Wihelmina
Joanesta Carmel
Once upon a time, when I was a child, at
three years old, I went with my parent to Bali. While on the plane, the flight
attendants offering all the passengers with meals and newspapers. While eating
and watching movies from my tablet, suddenly I wanted to go to the toilet.
While walking to the toilet, I saw a passenger who turn on his phone but did
not turn off the airplane mode. Because I was afraid that it would interfere
with the plane’s navigation, I reprimanded him. But, because he did not accept
my warning, I was scolded by the man.
Saw the incident, a flight attendant came up to me and the man and she
asked me what happened?
Stewardess :
What happened, girl?
Me :
He turned on his cellphone to take
pictures of dence clouds but he didn’t turn off the
airplane mode.
Hearing that, the flight attendant
explained well to the man and finally the man decided to turn off his
cellphone. After I finished from the toilet and intended to go back to my seat,
the flight attendant who has talked to me and the man called me to join her in
the kitchen’s plane. When I joined her, she asked.
Stewardess :
Hello, sweetie. What’s your name?
Me :
I am Jane. Why did you call me?
Stewardess :
Nothing. I just want to give you a small gift because you have helped to
reprimand the
passenger who
violet the rules on the plane.
When I heard that, I was very happy. Then I
asked what she would give me.
Me :
Oh, cool! May I know what is it?
Stewardess :
These are just a few chocolate bars. Do you prefer strawberry chocolate or just
chocolate?
Me :
I want strawberry chocolate.
After chatting lightly with some flight
attendants in the plane’s kitchen, they asked me where I went to school, how
old I was. Suddenly my mom looked for me and asked me to come back to my seat.
However, the flight attendants asked me to stay with them in the kitchen but my
mother did not allow me to join them more time because our flight will take a
landing position for close time.
That is my experience with flight
attendants. Thank you very much and warm regards from me.
